This is one of the UK's most widely used pressure-fit gates, which matters because pressure-fit means no drilling into walls or banisters — a real advantage for rented homes or anyone who doesn't want permanent fixings. The one-handed opening mechanism is designed to be usable while carrying a baby, but genuinely tricky for a toddler to figure out, which is the core safety job of any gate.
Against BabyDan's Guard Me gate, Lindam's Easy Fit Plus is pressure-fit rather than screw-fit, making it faster to install and fully removable, but slightly less secure at the very top of a staircase, where the NHS and most gate manufacturers recommend a screw-fit gate specifically because a pressure-fit gate can be dislodged under enough force.
