The verdict

PharMeDoc's U-shape wraps around both sides of the body at once, so you don't lose support when you roll over in the night. Best for couples with a larger bed or solo use who want full-body support without repositioning; skip it if bed space is tight, since it takes up significant room.

Most pregnancy pillows are C- or J-shaped, which support one side of the body and need to be flipped or repositioned when you roll over in the night. PharMeDoc's U-shape wraps around both sides simultaneously — back support on one edge, front/knee support on the other — so turning over in bed doesn't mean losing your support setup, which matters more than it sounds for the number of times most people shift position overnight in the third trimester.

The trade-off against the more compact Dreamgenii is size: a U-shaped pillow takes up genuinely significant bed space, effectively displacing a partner to the edge of a double bed. For couples with a larger bed, or where the pillow will mostly be used solo, that's a fair trade for not having to reposition. For anyone tight on bed space, the C-shaped Dreamgenii is the more practical fit.

Is the U-Shape Full Body Pregnancy Pillow worth it?

Frequently asked questions

Is the PharMeDoc U-shape pillow worth the bed space it takes up?+

If you shift position a lot at night, yes — it supports both sides of the body simultaneously, back support on one edge and front/knee support on the other, so turning over doesn't mean losing your support setup, which matters more than it sounds given how often people shift in the third trimester.

How does it compare to the Dreamgenii pillow?+

The Dreamgenii is far more compact and better for tight bed space or a shared bed, since a U-shape effectively displaces a partner to the edge of a double bed. The U-shape's size is a fair trade only if you have a larger bed or mostly use it solo.

Can I use the PharMeDoc pillow after birth?+

Yes — beyond pregnancy it doubles as a large nursing or propping pillow, giving it some useful life after birth as well as during pregnancy, though it's not marketed as a dedicated feeding pillow in the way Theraline's full-length pillow specifically is.

Is the PharMeDoc pillow easy to clean?+

The cover is removable and machine washable, though the pillow itself is large and awkward to store when not in use, so bear in mind both the washing and the storage space it needs when you're not actively using it overnight.
