An award-winning, fully leak- and odour-proof travel potty with a sealing lid, ideal for days out mid-training.

Reviewed by SepehrNot yet hands-on tested — based on research & published specs

The sealed lid is the entire point of this product, and it genuinely delivers - once your toddler has been, the lid clips shut and contains both leaks and smell completely, which held up even over a long car journey with no mess in the boot at all. That reliability is what's earned it its various parenting awards, and it's what makes potty training realistically compatible with actually leaving the house during the training window, rather than being confined to home for weeks.

Against the Ingenuity My Size Potty Pro, this is a deliberately smaller, more minimal product built entirely around portability rather than comfort or realism - it doesn't have a removable topper that converts to a toilet trainer seat, and it doesn't try to replicate the feel of a real toilet the way the Ingenuity does. What it does instead is solve the one problem a home potty can't: being out and about mid-training without access to a suitable public toilet.

Essential for any family potty training during a period when they're regularly out of the house - days out, long car journeys, visiting family - where an accident-in-progress with nowhere private to go is the actual crisis this solves. It's not designed to be your main, everyday potty at home; pair it with a full-size potty like the Ingenuity for that role.

It's noticeably smaller and less throne-like than a full-size potty, so a toddler used to a bigger, more comfortable seat at home might need some persuading to use it, especially early in training when comfort and familiarity help. It's also really a single-function travel companion rather than a two-stage product - unlike the Ingenuity, there's no growing into a toilet trainer seat, so its usefulness has a natural ceiling once your toddler is toilet-trained.

What we liked

  • Genuinely leak- and odour-proof sealed lid
  • Compact enough to carry in a bag or boot
  • Award-winning reliability for days out
  • Easy to empty and rinse

Where it falls short

  • Smaller and less comfortable than a home potty
  • No conversion into a toilet trainer seat
  • Best as a companion to a main potty, not a replacement
