A wearable silicone teething mitten with a hygienic travel bag that turns a baby's own hand into a safe, always-available teether.
The teething mitten solves a very specific problem: very young babies who are already teething but haven't developed the coordination to reliably bring a hand-held teether to their mouth. By covering the whole hand in food-grade silicone with a textured palm, the baby can self-soothe by simply putting their fist in their mouth, which they're already doing instinctively.
Compared to a hand-held teether like Sophie la Girafe, the mitten's advantage is availability — it can't be dropped or thrown from a pram in the way a separate toy can, which matters a lot for very young or car-seat-bound babies. It's a weaker choice once a baby is older and dextrous enough to hold objects deliberately, at which point a shaped or chillable teether generally does more for actual pain relief.
The strap system needs an adult to fasten it correctly and check it periodically, and some babies simply reject the sensation of a mitten covering their whole hand — it's worth trying before committing to a multi-pack.
