Best Prenatal Vitamins UK
All six of these cover the NHS-recommended core of folic acid and vitamin D, so the real differences are about extras, dose size, and how many things you have to remember to take. Pregnacare Original (£12.99) is the UK's best-seller for a reason — one tablet, 19 nutrients, NHS-recommended folic acid and vitamin D doses, and well under £13 a month — but like most single-tablet options here, it doesn't include omega-3 DHA. Boots' own-brand (£8) covers the same core NHS doses for even less, with a more basic overall nutrient profile.
Seven Seas' capsule-and-tablet duo (£9.99) and Vitabiotics' Pregnacare Max (£17) both build DHA in without a separate purchase — Seven Seas as the cheaper two-a-day option, Pregnacare Max with a bit more overall nutrient coverage. Elevit (£37.18) stands out for iron content at 60mg, notably higher than the others, worth checking with a midwife if you're already supplementing iron separately.
Wild Nutrition's Food-Grown multi (£42, the priciest here) takes a different approach entirely — whole-food-form nutrients rather than isolated synthetic vitamins, taken as three capsules a day, and formulated to carry through the postnatal period too, not just pregnancy.

The verdict
For most pregnancies, Pregnacare Original is the sensible, well-evidenced default — it's what most UK midwives are familiar with and covers the core NHS doses cheaply. If you want DHA included without a separate purchase, Seven Seas is the affordable way to get it, or Pregnacare Max if you'd rather one slightly more complete daily pack. Elevit is worth discussing with your midwife specifically if you need higher iron. Wild Nutrition is a genuine option if you're sensitive to synthetic vitamins and want a whole-food-form formulation, but it's a real step up in both price and daily pill count over the others here.
