A small backpack with a detachable rein lead, designed to feel like a toddler's own bag rather than a harness.
The ToddlePak reframes the whole idea of a rein: it's primarily a small, characterful backpack sized for a toddler, with a rein lead that clips on when needed and detaches when it isn't, so on days out it can simply be worn as a normal little backpack the rest of the time.
Against the plainer Lindam harness in this category, the ToddlePak costs more but tends to see far less resistance from toddlers who are reluctant to wear a harness — because to them, it reads as their own bag rather than a restraint, which meaningfully changes the day-to-day battle of actually getting it on before you leave the house.
The backpack does have a small internal pocket, useful for a snack or a favourite small toy, which adds genuine everyday utility beyond the safety rein function itself, unlike a harness with no storage.
