Psi Bands work on the identical P6 acupressure principle as Sea-Band Mama's wristbands already in this category — a small plastic stud applies pressure to a point on the inner wrist that some people find eases nausea, a technique also used for travel sickness. The main practical difference is styling: Psi Bands come in a wider range of patterns and colours, and use a fabric strap rather than Sea-Band's more clinical elastic band, which some find more comfortable for all-day wear.

Since both products use the same underlying mechanism, effectiveness should be broadly comparable — NHS guidance notes acupressure bands are a reasonable drug-free option to try, without claiming strong evidence either way. The choice between this and Sea-Band mostly comes down to comfort and appearance preference rather than a meaningful difference in how they work.

What we liked

  • Drug-free, reusable and washable
  • Wider colour/pattern range than clinical-style bands
  • Same well-established acupressure mechanism as Sea-Band

Where it falls short

  • Evidence for acupressure bands generally is mixed, not strong
  • Some people find any wristband uncomfortable for all-day wear
  • No advantage over Sea-Band beyond styling
